…Buhari Should Have Written His Resignation Letter
The National President of Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), Comrade Eyiowuawi Rasak Olasunmbo has backed the Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter against the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying Nigeria needs urgent intervention.

Comrade Eyiowuawi made this declaration at the Party’s Mid-Term Convention held at Dusmar Hotel, Kuto, Abeokuta recently, where all representatives of the party across the country gathered to adopt a new befitting logo.
Reacting to Obasanjo’s open letter to Buhyari, Eyiowuawi said “It is a perfect statement from the perfect person. Nigeria is going into disarray, killings, death and bombing here and there. There are famines, no petrol, no money, you can’t even pay salaries, and workers are being held 10-15 months salaries, deductions like 16-17 months, and we call that a nation.
“A nation where you are afraid of moving from South to the North, even moving within your own community is a risk because of kidnappers. If you are not kidnapped by herdsmen, you will be kidnapped by terrorists. Fathers killing children, children killing their fathers and mothers, lack of employments for the Youths everywhere. Obasanjo is very right; Nigeria is going disarray and needs immediate and urgent intervention.
“What Obasanjo said in his open letter were facts we all know that we are shying away from. By 2019 if we are not careful, if the right things are not done, there won’t be Nigeria again. If Buhari do not have the kind of love that Former President Goodluck Jonathan have for Nigeria in 2015 come 2019, Nigeria will totally collapse.
“Buhari must learn to step aside as Goodluck Jonathan did in 2015. He should even know by now that he should have stepped aside. In a good clime, by now, he should written his resignation letter, I expect him to resign. When he was to be voted for, he told us petrol would be sold at N40 per liter, rather than coming down, it is going up. How much are we buying a bag of rice before he came in, and how much is it now. Look at every sphere of this nation and see what is happening.
“Even corruption that he said he wants to come and fight, what is happening in that area, nothing. He got money from people and the money was looted immediately by his men. Look at the issue of Maina Gate, until now, the issue has not been resolved. If not for Obasanjo’s letter, the former SGF would still be in his house sleeping with all our money. I can go on and on, but let me stop there, he added.”
On how the party will get to power in 2019, he said “We have started, we are on the right track, a coalition movement for new Nigeria, CNN where all the 36 states are coming together to form an amalgam. We are young and trying to move ahead. CNN is a coalition of young vie force and not a merger, I can assure you that we are taking power from APC.” He submitted.
On recent killings in Benue by the herdsmen, he said that If you follow the trend of the Governors, you would see that the nation was not safe in the hand of those Governors. They are becoming very nepotic in every area like appointments, human relations, securing the lives of the citizens. “Buhari’s administration is totally nepotic.” He stated.
On his own part, when asked about the party’s preparation towards the coming 2019 general election, the National Treasurer, Mr. Wannu Sunday Favour who is from Ebonyi state said the party was fully prepared, adding that the congress was part of the preparation which will make them take over power from the sitting government.
Said he, “As you can see, that is why we are here today and the outcome proved that we are ready to attack and take the center to give Nigerians what they have been desiring. Nigerians have been desiring for positive change, despite that the way the country goes today, it seems as if there is no more unity in the country, but PPN is already at the verge to bring Nigerians together, so that Nigeria can move forward. This is why we adopted a new logo, drum, which simply means that Nigerians will dance, smile and will bring Nigerians together."
While reacting to Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter on Coalition, the treasurer said “My reaction to that is that the message came at the right time because most Nigerians are not happy with the way things are going presently in the country. The former President nailed it at the right path by sending the article that triggered. My reaction is that Nigerians need to come again in unity. This is not the change Nigerians expect when they voted in this incumbent President.”
