For better improvement in
securing the lives and properties of Nigeria citizens, Ogun state in
particular, the Ogun State Command of Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN have

in the National Assembly in conjunction with the Institute of Corporate
Security and Intelligence Limited starts Friday 16th March, 2018
with registration and begins fully on Saturday.
According to the State Commander,
Olanrewaju Nureni Adedoyin, he said the programme is going on across the nation
for all men of the VGN in readiness for the group to update its men for better improvement
on security.
“We have a four day
programme which is organized by the Committee of Police Affairs of the House of
Representatives, National Assembly in conjunction with the Institute of Corporate
Security and Intelligence Limited for officers and men of Vigilante Group of Nigeria
throughout Nigeria.
“The programme is
organized in readiness of what is coming in because sometimes ago we have a
bill that is been passed in both the House of Assembly and the Senate which is
now right before the President of Nigeria for him to ascent it. When the
president have ascent to it, we will then know that there tasks before us.
“Before then, we must be
ready for the security challenges we are facing in the country now, namely
kidnapping, terrorism, ritual killings etc that is why we are preparing our men
to be able to follow the new pattern and trend through which the bad people
among us perpetrate their evil acts and bring them to justice.”
While speaking on those
expected for the training, Olanrewaju said “We are only expecting only Vigilante
members throughout the southwest, except on the final day that those who are
invited through invitation and grace the occasion.”
The commander also assured
citizens on better improvement on security, saying “People should expect better
and improved performance from our personnel, because in the past, if we look at
it, they have worked a lot to make sure that we provide security and safety for
the whole country and you will see that we have been doing it, especially in Ogun
state.
“There was a time somebody
around Ipokia here in the state cut off the head of a twelve year old girl and
removed her intestine, heart, private part and other things in her body, and at
the end of the day, it was our men that arrested those behind the evil act and
handed them to the police.
We know there are new ways
through which some bad fellow among us perpetrate their evil act without even
showcasing it and we are trying to update our men to be able to learn new
patterns and be fully equipped.” He concluded.
