Pray For Nigeria, Stop Cursing Leaders

Honorable Yetunde Sogbein who is a member representing Odeda constituency at the Ogun State House of Asembly has enjoined Nigerians to cultivate the habit of praying for the country at all times instead of placing curses on her and the leadership.

Sogbein made this know today in a press release signed by his Media Consultant as the country celebrates yet another democracy Day saying;
"They should embrace the attitude of Americans who, every morning says "God Bless America" this is exigent because prayer has the efficacy that could turn things around for the better.

He also described the nation as a treasure to be guarded by all well meaning Nigerians if we really care for the nation to attain a place of pride in the community of nations.

Sogbein stated that the country is so blessed with enormous resources from natural to human and that she is not supposed to be poor or for her people to wallow in poverty as the situation currently is in the country, but for lack of resourceful leadership which has eluded the country in time past.

She was of the opinion that Nigeria is truly a land full of milk and honey, saying that it is only shamefully but also unbelievably disturbing that the entire citizenry lack ideal standard of living.

According to her Nigerians starve in the midst of plenty because of our attitude to nationhood on the grounds that many people consider any opportunity to serve the country at any level as an opportunity to amass personal gains without any consideration for the mass of the people. They really do not come to terms with the veracity that they hold such positions in trust for the entire citizens of the county.

On the Buhari/Osinbajo led federal government according to him, they are working conscientiously to return the nation to a place of pride where Nigerians, wherever they find themselves will be able to beat their chests and say "we are Nigerians

She also pour encomium on governor Ibikunle Amosun as a with vigour, noting that he has created footprints, that would take serious hard work to erase.

She commended the governor for the peaceful atmosphere being experienced in the State, adding that the infrastructural development has opened up the state to socio-economic development.
