Speaking at the birthday reception held in
honour of the celebrant at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidental Library in
Abeokuta, Senator Amosun described him as a man of repute worthy of identifying
with, owing to his meaningful contributions to the socio- economic development
of Egbaland and the State.
The Governor,
who was represented by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga noted
that Chief Abudu's philanthropic gestures had added positive values towards the
actualisation of goals and aspirations of younger generations.
He urged the celebrant not to rest on his
oars in complementing government's efforts towards improving the lots of the
people, praying to Almighty God to grant him long life to enable him live more
meaningful and fulfilling life.
Extolling the celebrant's virtues of
generosity , brilliance and industrial drive , Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in his
remark, said his bundle of talents did not only endeared many but also
motivated people towards achieving success.
Also speaking, the Alake and Paramount Ruler
of Egbaland , Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and the Osile of Oke- Ona , Oba (Dr.)
Adedapo Tejuoso, who unveiled the autobiography of the celebrant, described him
as a man of many parts, who takes the act of philanthropism so dear to his
heart.
