Suspected bandits were reported to have attacked the Government Girls' Secondary School, Moriki, In Zulu Local Government area of Zamfara State.
The attack according to BBC Hausa took place last night as residents watched the UEFA Champions League match between Barcelona and Liverpool.
According to the report, the bandits shot sporadically and abducted two teachers and four nursing students of the school, also killing one man in the process.
Local residents said the bandits were unable to get to where students were sleeping.
Meanwhile, Zamfara has been under attack from bandits in recent times with President Buhari ordering service chiefs to be more proactive and ruthless in dealing with them.
The rising spate of criminal activities and killings in the state have been linked to the illegal mining of gold in the region.
However, a recent kidnapping of a village head, who is also an in-law to President Buhari took place yesterday at Daura, the home state of the President.
