Dickson Issues Strong Warning To PDP Delegates

The governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson has issued a strong warning to the delegates who will participate in the governorship primary election of the state that they should think about their future after primary.

The governor made this known today while he was addressing PDP members at the Peace Park in Bayelsa state during the flag-off of Local Government Campaign in the state.

Dickson advised the members of the party that will be delegates in the governorship primary election to collect money from members who are joining the party but not part of restoration team. The governor said the delegates need to think wise because those who joined the party but not part of restoration team are tenants and they will soon go.

According to him, "Movement going on in the state now are not calculated. They want to hijack the party and the ticket but if anybody who is not a member of restoration team of the governor wins the election, we will dissolve you.

"None of the candidate can make it if I don't support them because the governorship election is going to be between federal might and state might. Don't ever do anything different from what I do because I am going to lead the fight. But if you do, you are empty" he said.

He assured the PDP members who are part of restoration team that they will make it while he advised flag bearers of the party in each of the eight Local Government of the state to go out and work.

 In an interview with Honourable Victor Inodunimi Isaiah   who is the flag bearer of PDP  in Brass Local Government , said the essence of local government is to bring government nearer to the people and to deal with matter of local concerns . He said infrastructural development is going to be one of his key agenda if elected to office while women empowerment across the local government will also be part of his top agenda.

Also speaking at the programme is honourable Ebinyo Marvin who has acted in acting capacity of Ogbia Local Government said they will continue to work from where they stopped if elected into office as executive chairman of Ogbia Local Government.

Honourable Marvin promised to make health, security, and infrastructure very Paramount in his administration while programmes that will impact the lives of the youths positively will be pursued to logical conclusion.

Honourable West Lalalibo from Nembe local government described the leadership of Governor Seriake Dickson as perfect and also promised to follow his footsteps to accomplished restoration agenda in his local government.

He noted that there is no opposition party in Bayelsa state now and that is why the victory is sure for PDP.

Barrister Lloyd Ineye Owonaro, zonal youth leader, south south said the crowd at the venue of the programme is as a result of people's will to participate in politics of Bayelsa Local Government.  He said the problem of youths is not a Bayelsa issue alone but general.

Other local government chairmen who were at the programme admonished the people of Bayelsa State to support them while they promised never to disappoint them if elected into office in the coming Saturday local government polls.
