A non governmental organization called " Social Media Evangelism And Advocacy Foundation " in Ogun State has called on youths in Nigeria and across the globe to shun all forms of societal vices
Comrade Shipeolu David , the president of the organization made the call in Abeokuta the State capital on Wednesday during their lectures and Award presentation at Cultural Centre , Kuto , Abeokuta .
Shipepolu who is the convener said Social Media Evangelism And Advocacy Foundation is out to preach to the youths that without cyber crime , cyber bullying , Child Trafficking , Misinformation on Social media and all forms of societal menace they can achieve positively in life .
In his words " my message for youths is simple , they should shun any forms of societal vices . I am a youth and if youth can think positively they will achieve in life . Everybody has a skill , if you can develop your skill , you will become something in life without even involving in any crime .
Youths should know that the skill they have , if they can develop it , with time and they should not rush because if they try to rush they will perpetrate evil ." he said .
On unemployment among youths , comrade Shipeolu David said he does not believe unemployment is the major cause of societal vices that we see today in our country but failure on the part of the youths to discover and develop their skills .
" I don't believe unemployment is the major cause of societal vices that we see today , if youths can develop their skills , they will create their own world . Many just hide under unemployment to perpetrate evil . " he noted .
Comrade Shipeople David who is the president of the organization therefore pleaded with the government both at the state and Federal level to create enabling environment for the youths to ventilate their skill .
Among dignitaries that were in attendance at the programme are : Chief VIO Ogun State , Engineer Ademehin , Engineer Babalola Taofeek , Ogun VIO Head of Operation , Commander Olukayode Abati , chief Bolarinwa , patron of SME , hon. Olumide Jones etc .
