First Entrepreneurship Radio 'Sweet FM' Goes Digital, Moves To Permanent Site



The first Entrepreneurship and Leadership Radio Station in Nigeria, Sweet 107.1 F.M located in Abeokuta Ogun State has procured digitalised and state-of-art radio broadcasting equipment.

Sweet FM introduced new dimension to radio broadcasting in Nigeria by focusing on topical issues on entrepreneurship and leadership with the view of breeding more entrepreneurs and reducing poverty as well as support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The station's permanent site situated at Oke-Temidire in Abiola way, Abeokuta has two digitalised studios and is said to become an entrepreneurial hub by 2020

The station digitalisation process including live streaming, 24/7online broadcasting and connectivity via Mobile App while improving it's terrestrial coverage on the FM band

The award winning station according to its founder, former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization and Commercialization at the 7th Senate, Sen. Olugbenga Obadara, is introducing interesting, unique and richer contents to satisfy the growing remote and online audience worldwide. 

The Chairman said: ''We are changing the face of radio broadcasting in Nigeria by focusing on entrepreneurship and leadership. Sweet FM is a unique station with unique mandate of breeding new entrepreneurs and reducing poverty in the country. 

''The ongoing repositioning is in line with Federal Government's dream of lifting 100million Nigerians out of poverty in 10years. We all know the power of radio in disseminating factual information, educating, entertaining and enlightening the populace. Sweet FM 107.1 is breaking new grounds!''

He said their aim is to become the number radio station in the southwestern part of Nigeria, adding that all necessary activities are being carried out towards training and retraining of members of staff.
