The Coordinator of Oodua Progressive Union, OPU Europe Chapter, Akinrogun Victor Adewale has been confirmed has the new Akingbayi Aare Ona Kankaafo of Yorubaland by Aare Gani Ige Adams on the 3rd of December 2019.
According to the confirmation letter, the new title as "Akingbayi Aare Onakankaafo Of Yorubaland has placed on him a responsibly to help in promoting the ideas of the office which among others is to promote unity, culture heritage and tradition of Yoruba indigenes both in Nigeria and in the diaspora, and also help in discovering the potentials that will help build a nation of our dream.
The letter also said with his new title he has been automatically becomes one of the Aare Onakankaafo-In-Council (AOK-In-Council) and established chieftancy council comprising eminent Nigerians of Yoruba descent.
The installation shall be official on Tuesday 14th of January 2020 at an elaborate event in Lagos State.
