The League of Registered Political Parties in Ogun State has called on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chieftain, Senator Kashamu Buruji, to leave the political stage and allow peace to reign in the state.
The League admonished that it was high time for Senator Buruji, former member of the National Assembly to call it quit when the ovation is loudest as his time has expired outrightly.
Chairman of the League, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday at a media briefing in Abeokuta on Tuesday hinted that Kashamu has lost relevance in the political sphere in Ogun and beyond.
Oginni, in his address attributed the lingering crisis bedeviling the Ogun State Chapter of PDP on Kashamu. “He should leave the political stage for peace to reign in the state.
“It’s worrisome that Senator Buruji Kashamu is not ashamed of himself as the black sheep of Ogun State political family.
“It’s on record that Kashamu fought nearly every known political leader in the state including Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Hon. Ladi Adebutu and host of others for selfish reasons.
“However, the latest version of Kashamu’s dirty fight with Chief Bayo Dayo as the PDP Chairman exposed Kashamu as a cruel and careless person who never cherished relationship. It’s obvious that Kashamu’s interest in politics is selfish and parochial.
“We hereby advise Buruji Kashamu to do a thorough self examination and returned to the path of truth and honesty. It’s very clear that the game is over for Kashamu in his over a decade evil machinations in Ogun PDP.”
Oginni however enjoined all lovers of democracy and good governance to encourage and support the genuine reconciliation going on in Ogun PDP.
“It’s our believe that the general populace are of great and better opportunities where a strong and virile opposition parties exist.”
