Ogun Holds Pre-season Train-the-Trainers' On Cassava Production For Farmers

OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS RECENTLY EMPOWERED 3,500 OGUN STATE CASSAVA ANCHOR BORROWERS PROGRAMME (ABP) NOMINEES WITH COMMENCEMENT OF TRAIN-THE-TRAINERS (TOT) OF AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION WORKERS AT OGUN STATE AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (OGADEP), ABEOKUTA ON WEDNESDAY, 6TH MAY, 2020

Abeokuta - In order to ensure the recently empowered 3,500 Ogun State Cassava ABP nominees attain the high yield required to supply offtakers, make profit and contribute to Food Security, the Government of Ogun State has provided supplementary funding as promised, to train extension agents in three locations, in adherance to COVID-19 guidelines on gathering, hygiene and health standards.

The trained extension agents would assist each of the recently empowered 3,500 farmers; and also serve as role models to other farmers, both practising and intending.

The TOT Programme commenced on Wednesday, 6th May, 2020, at the Ogun State Agricultural Development Programme (OGADEP), Abeokuta.
