A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Akeem Obadara representing Ibadan North West State Constituency, in an effort to make life more comfortable to residents of his constituency, on Wednesday commissioned a borehole at two areas in his his Local Government.
The House Committee Chairman on Security, who commissioned the borehole at Idi–Ikan area of Olore in Ibadan and another one at Omotosho Benjamin Street Eleyele, Ibadan.
In his remark, the lawmaker reiterated that, the purpose of providing boreholes to the various communities is to ease residents the stress of getting water for daily surviver.
He also assuresd his constituents to be hopeful as he his going to bring more development and empowerment Programmes to them and sought their support noting that he operate an open door policy.
On his part the Caretker chairman Ibadan North West Local Government, Hon. Rahman Adepoju who commissioned the Idi -Ikan borehole, commended the effort of the lawmaker Hon. Obadara for bringing convenience to more development to the community and implore him to do more, he also urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the borehole opportunity so as to serve them well.
Also, the caretaker chairman Oke–Ibadan North LCDA, Hon. Ganiu Omotosho, who also commissioned the borehole at Benjamin Eleyele Ibadan, lauded Hon. Obadara for his unrelented effort to bring development to the community, to ease the burden of the LCDA.
While speaking with one of the residents in olore community, Mr Abdul-rosheed Babatunde, he ommended the effort of Hon Obadara for providing a drinkable water to the community and urge him to do more of good things to the community.
Similarly, Mrs Samuel Olusha, expressed her joy to have a borehole at the community as they find it difficult to get water amidst the dry season and urge him to do more laudable projects to his constituency.
In a similar development, Hon. Obadara has disbursed the total sum of 3.5 Million to 150, people in his constituency to empowerment their business and also gave exercise books to pupils in four different schools and packs of rice of about 150 pieces. The empowerment tool place at Onireke in Ibadan North West Local Government, Ibadan.
While addressing the beneficiaries, Hon Obadara admonished them to make judicious use of the disbursed cash and promised to do more.
