Abeokuta - The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ogun State chapter has commended the state government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun for suspending the Commissioner for environment over the allegation of sexual harassment of one lady Miss Adesola Melojuekun.
IPAC also called for immediate meeting between the equity adviser, the commissioner for women affairs and the judicial service commission to discuss extensively over the recent allegation.
This was disclosed at it's inaugural meeting for the year 2021 held in Abeokuta the state capital.
To this end, the chairman of the IPAC in the State, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has called on the Commissioner for Police in the state, CP Edward Ajogun to watch closely whether the victim's parent recanted or not saying that investigation must be conducted on the issue.
He added that if the DPO trying to sweep the matter under the carpet or subvert the ongoing investigation, he called on the CP Ajogun Awolowo to send him to disciplinary committee for investigation over compromission.
Arabambi also condemned the incessant killings of the people by the men of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in the Western part of Ogun State which is border town, saying that it's becoming unbearable.
Comrade Arabambi also called for the immediate sack of Comptroller General or probably go back to his Northern State and redeployment of all members of the Ayetoro command.
At the resolution, IPAC chairman revealed that Ogun State is not the only border area in Nigeria where customs will just wake up and load their weapon and started killing innocent people, saying that whoever that is in charge to sack the comptroller general should as a matter of urgency take the step before it's too late.
He therefore charged the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in the state to look at the welfare of the youths in the state.
