Southampton vs Arsenal: Gunners give injury updates ahead of EPL clash

Arsenal has given injury updates of its players ahead of Tuesday night’s Premier League clash at Southampton.

Mikel Arteta will once again be without captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang pulled out of the squad to face the Saints in the FA Cup fourth round last weekend for “personal reasons”.

The Gabon striker will not make the second successive trip to Saint Marys today.

Dani Ceballos is back in training, but is unavailable for the match, along with Pablo Mari.

Kieran Tierney is a doubt with a calf problem.

The club’s statement read: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Will be unavailable for Tuesday’s match due to personal family reasons.

“Dani Ceballos – Left calf. Dani has resumed training and though not available for Tuesday, will continue to be assessed in the coming days.

“Pablo Mari – Right calf. Pablo is progressing well from a mild calf strain. Aiming to be back in training this week.

“Kieran Tierney – Right calf. Kieran is being assessed for discomfort in the right lower leg.”
