The Vigilante Group of Nigeria VGN has said they are ready to combat the criminal herders who are terrorizing the state if given the approval by Ogun State government.
According to the statement made available to National Trumpet by Nureni Olanrewaju Adedoyin, the National Public Relations Officer of the group, he said all they need from the state government is a letter of introduction to the Nigeria Police Force.
"Our officers are ready to battle with the criminal herdsmen who has been causing unrest in the outskirt of Ogun State and beyond if Governor Abiodun can give us the go ahead, we are not requesting for funds but introduction to the Nigeria Police Force to help flush the criminal herdsmen and bandits away from the state."
Meanwhile, the team led by Nureni Adedoyin has successfuly taken his security tour across the boundaries of Yewa North shortly after the attack on Awa Community in Egua alongside his men to know where the criminals are using as abode.
Also, he syphatize with the Alawowo of Awowo, Oba Abdulgafar Olasunkanmi Tijani over the vandalization of Solar System worth £15,000 by the suspected herdsmen yesterday in the village.
He restated the Vigilante Group Of Nigeria commitment towards restoring peace to Ogun state without collecting a kobo from anyone and even the state government, saying the duty of VGN is to ensure peaceful coexistence within the people in Nigeria.
