ABEOKUTA — Seven out of eight aspirants vying for the position of L. G. chairmanship in Abeokuta South local government namely Olujimi Desmond, Toyosi Enilolobo, AKINYEMI S.O.A, TOLU KAROUNWI, SAHEED BALOGUN, Dare OLUMIDE and Bar Kehinde Dimeji has passed a Vote of No Confidence' on a set of leaders for taking money from one Hon Surv.Lanre Iretiolu Sotayo who simultaneously is maintaining his membership at Accord Party and APC with the promise of favoring him against others.
The aggreived aspirant call on All Progressive Congress Ogun State led by Chief Yemi Sanusi, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun and S.A political to look in to the matter to correct the abnormalities befalling the party, most especially the mode of selecting candidate for Osoba group for final primaries with the other group to choose the final candidate for the forthcoming local government election by the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC
The Screening committee of the Osoba group in ABSLG comprises of Hon Adeyemi Ademuyiwa OGHA constituency 2 Abk South as chairman, Hon Adejojo Yusuf OGHA constituency 1 Abk South as the secretary, HON TAJUDEEN EGUNJOBI MEMBER, HON AKEEM ODEJIMI OLOGBONWON
MEMBER, DR OLOLADE S.A TO GOVERNOR ON HEALTH, MRS OLANREWAJU YEMI RTD P.S MINISTRY OF CULTURE.
The spokesperson for the seven aggrieved aspirants, Hon Toyosi Enilolobo while addressing press today at Nigeria Union Of Journalists House Iwe Irohin Abeokuta today alleged Honorable Yusuf Adejojo, Member House of Assembly constituency 1 Abk South and his father Mukaila Adejojo of bias, unscrupulous act and dirty tactics full of lack of integrity, and influencing the mandate of the people of Abeokuta South to Hon Lanre Iretiolu Sotayo who was stage managed and unjustly favored and rigged to clinch the slot of the Osoba group as he suddenly surfaced into the race about a week ago.
" We are very disappointed in the youth representing us at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Yusuf Adejojo, his father Mukaila Adejojo,Nuruden Oyeneye a.k.a Vicodeen, Rasheed Adewale a.k.a Lasabi, Hon Akeem Odejimi a.k.a Ologbonwon and one Kola Idowu for promoting injustice in Abeokuta South local government APC and for indicting Chief Sunday Sowunmi that they have his permission to favor Lanre Iretiolu Sotayo, unconfirmed information revealed that Sotayo has committed himself to giving the aforementioned leaders the sum of nine million naira monthly from the local government allocation once he’s elected chairman.
Indeed, we are surprised and disappointed that some of our reputable leaders were exempted from the so called screening and prevented them from voting, the likes of Hon. Femi Allen Taylor, Hon. Segun Williams , Hon. Wasiu Sodipo were exempted.
Hon Yusuf Adejojo sent SMS to us (3 aspirants) that our manifestoes were below standard after defense.
The aspirants want drastic action to be taken in correcting the irregularities and possible investigation into the moneybag politics played by the aforementioned leaders without delay and to consider justice, equity and fairness in their judgment.
