The Olu of Orile Ilawo in Ogun state, Oba Olusegun Alexander MacGregor have said that "There's nothing much stronger than community empowerment", saying empowering people in the community is the best thing in the world.
Oba MacGregor made this known while receiving the Youth of Ilawo community in his domain last Sunday.
He said he started making his achievements before becoming Youth, and that has helped him go a long way in life.
Oba MacGregor who has been a major developer of the town with over 150 villages, said he likes to empower people, so as to contribute immensely to the development Nigeria's economy.
He urged the Youth to unite themselves and move away from every form of thuggery, cultism and act that won't depict whom they truly are.
Furthermore, Oba MacGregor, who is also a known Professor said they should go out and lead in all spheres of live.
"I cannot fully express myself, because it's been long we've been hearing about Youth in Ilawo, but those we usually see are the ones that still need a lot of work to do.
"Some are not Youth, but they categorise themselves as Youth. But yet, a time will come where Youth too will become elders, and they will be the ones around to guide the new Youth.
"It is God that have brought you here because the time is now for Ilawo Youth to become the leaders. You will notice that in the past 3to4years ago what they knew us for was hooliganism.
"But today, things have changed, Ilawo is now in good turns, and every Youth must be part of the change. We need all the Youth to participate in the betterment of this town and Nigeria at large.
"No matter the differences in our religions, we must all contribute to the development of this nation. So many programs we've done in this town that we didn't see the impact of the Youth.
"Leadership, governance, customs and traditions are what is been done in the traditional council, religious is just the secondary aspect.
"Your religion either Christian or Muslim, or Traditional worshipper can not be a barrier to contribute to the development of a nation. We are all looking for development of the town and the nation at large.
"The most successful community in the world are the Jewish community. They are not Christian nor Muslim, but their own idol is the what they call Jewish community.
"The secret is that, they have a common goal and aims, after World War II, they agreed that they will never suffer again.
"Though they are not more than five million in population, they all have what they're doing, they train themselves and spend their money. They raise themselves and help themselves.
"They took themselves as one, they do community empowerment, and this is what gave them the power they have today.
"There's nothing much stronger than community empowerment. If you all agreed on one thing with a common goal, nothing is powerful than that.
"The powerful men on earth today are Jewish. Elon Musk and the rest Jewish and you can never see a Jewish man suffer. They all live in oeace and love among themselves."
Oba MacGregor then urged them to unite and promote peace with collective efforts among themselves.
He also urged them to take a role in chnaging the economy of the town and nation at large
Speaking earlier, AbdulFatai Abdulazeez Gbolahan who led the Youth to the Palace said they were saddled with the achievements of the monarch before and after his enthronement as king, saying they are ready to give him maximum support in putting the name of the town in the world map.
