Chief Whip of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Gabriel Ogbara, was yesterday caught in a public fisticuf with a supporter of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
In a viral video, Ogbara was seen in a free-for-all fight with some of the Ogbia Local Government Ward Coordinators
of The NEW Associate, Bayelsa State chapter.
The NEW Associates is a political organization comprising of supporters of the FCT Minister. NEW stands for Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
One of the coordinators of The NEW Associates that were assaulted by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Chip Whip was said to have been pulling so much weight that Hon Ogbara, became uncomfortable with.
"Gabriel Ogbara is obviously being pained that he is being run out of relevance in his community following the popularity and wide acceptability of The NEW Associates philosophy in the community, and his only response was to go physical.
"We never even start and them done dey show physical frustration. The love for Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at the grassroot across Bayelsa State no be here. Saturday, 26th April 2025 is a reality," a supporter of FCT Minister said.
